Life is full of hard choices—especially when it comes to food. Pool Grill (Singapore
Marriott Hotel, 320 Orchard Rd., 6831-4627) has just revamped its menu—it now comes
with more seafood dishes, pizzas, pastas, salads and desserts. New items include the
ragout of porcini mushrooms with fettuccine ($23), seared red pepper crusted tuna fillet
($33), aged balsamic marinated strawberries ($12) and creamy rum pannacotta ($13). With so many selections you’ll feel like ordering everything.
Another place that has a new bill of fare is Bistro One Zero Three (103 Pasir Panjang Rd., 6476-6373). Specializing in Western-Euro comfort food, there are items such as Cajun chicken and peaches mesclun salad ($6.90), oven-baked barbeque pork ribs ($20.90) and balsamic mushroom mesclun salad ($6.90). Pair them up with a good glass of wine or two—corkage is only about $5—and your day is made.
